Vinted alerts for the listing that doesn’t exist yet
No good listing today isn’t a no — it’s a not-yet.Save the search once and Vinted Finder tells you when she’s listed, or when a better size, price, or condition appears.
Use alerts when the right listing isn’t live yet, or when today’s results aren’t quite her. Vinted Finder — an independent iOS app, not an official Vinted feature — preserves the search and notifies you when a stronger match appears. You still browse and buy on Vinted itself.
Why alerts
Why alerts beat checking manually
Three facts about second-hand inventory that make re-typing the same search a losing game.
- Inventory turns over constantly
Vinted is not a catalogue — it's a stream. What you searched this morning is not what exists tonight, so today's empty results say nothing about next week.
- The good ones go in hours
A fairly priced piece in good condition rarely survives the day. An alert reaches you soon after she's listed; a manual check reaches her after someone else did.
- Exact matches tend to arrive later
The person who owns your exact piece may simply not have decluttered yet. A saved search waits for that moment so you don't have to keep re-typing it.

Alert types
Five ways to say 'tell me when'
Every alert carries the full brief — item, budget, size, and how strict the match should be.
| Alert type | What it watches for | Set it when |
|---|---|---|
| Exact match | The precise brand and model, newly listed. | You know exactly who she is and you're happy to wait for her. |
| Similar item | New listings sharing her silhouette, material, and mood. | The look matters more than the label. |
| Budget drop | The piece you want at or below the number you set. | She's listed, just not at your price yet. |
| Size-specific | Your size only — plus the honest neighbours either side. | Results are full of her, in everyone else's size. |
| Brand / model | Anything newly listed from a brand or model family. | You collect a label, or one line always sells fast. |
Example saved searches
Three alerts worth copying
Real briefs, not filler — each one pairs an exact search with a same-energy fallback.
Black cropped biker jacket under €80
black cropped leather biker jacket
black moto jacket silver zips
faux, PU, vegan leather — unless that's the point
Strictness: medium. Real leather at this budget rewards patience about timing, not fussiness about the label.
Mango silver ballet flats, EU 39
Mango silver ballet flats 39
metallic silver ballet flats 39
Strictness: high on size, relaxed on brand — a near-identical pair from another label is still a win.
Brown suede shoulder bag, same energy, under €50
brown suede shoulder bag 90s
tan suede baguette bag
suedette, faux suede
Strictness: low on purpose. This one is about the energy, so the alert casts wider and lets you choose.
Each of these started as an ordinary search — one from a screenshot, one from a sold-out product hunted through the dupe finder, one from a plain description. When today’s results aren’t her, saving the search costs nothing and forgets nothing.
Expectations
What alerts will and won't do
Set honestly, an alert is the most patient shopper you know. Here's the fine print, in plain sight.
- Alerts depend on live listings and match confidence. If nothing genuinely close appears, you hear nothing — silence is honesty, not a bug.
- You choose the strictness: exact-only for the patient, same-energy for the open-minded. You can change your mind any time.
- You can tune, pause, or delete any alert the moment she stops mattering to you.
- An alert opens the real listing on Vinted, and you buy there as normal. The app never checks out for you.
- Speed helps but isn't magic — a strong match can still sell before you open the notification. That's second-hand life.
Questions
Vinted alerts, honestly answered
Doesn't Vinted already have saved searches?
Yes — Vinted lets you save a search and surfaces new results in your feed, and for simple keyword searches that works well. Vinted Finder alerts are built differently: they start from a screenshot, link, or description, they're tiered by match confidence, and they're tuned by strictness, budget, and size — so you're told about her, not about everything containing the keyword.
How quickly will I hear about a new listing?
Soon after a strong match appears — but honestly, not instantly, and we won't pretend otherwise. Alerts shorten the gap between her being listed and you knowing; they can't close it to zero, and a very good listing can still sell fast.
Can I set a budget, size, or condition on an alert?
Yes — that’s most of the point. An alert carries the full brief: budget ceiling, size (plus adjacent sizes if you want), condition floor, and how strict the match should be. The free alert builder lets you draft one before you install anything.
Does an alert guarantee I'll get the item?
No. An alert guarantees you'll know when a strong match appears — it can't guarantee the match exists, or that you'll be first to it. What it removes is the version where she was listed for a week and you never knew.
How do I stop or change an alert?
In the app, any time: loosen the strictness, raise the budget, pause it for a month, or delete it outright. An alert should earn its place on your lock screen — the moment it stops being useful, it should stop existing.
The honest bit: Vinted Finder is an independent app that helps you search for second-hand listings on Vinted. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by Vinted. You browse and buy on Vinted itself. Listings change fast — price, condition, and availability live on Vinted, and exact matches are never guaranteed.
